Taganrog roots are well established in antiquity – Herodotus mentioned the town in his Histories – and it went on to have a prestigious naval military association. It is famed today as the birthplace of Anton Chekhov, but the author isn’t the only celebrity associated with Taganrog.
Port Kavkaz is located on the Chushka Spit in the Kerch Strait, in the Temryuksky District of Russia's Krasnodar Territory. The port is one of the largest passenger ports in Russia due to the ferry crossing to Crimea with a capacity of about 400,000 passengers per year. From the port of Kavkaz you can go on an excursion to the ethnographic complex "Ataman" - a Cossack village, the largest and the only open-air exhibition complex of its kind.

Gelendzhik is pebble beaches, fragrant pine forests, incredible cliffs and very beautiful views of the cleanest sea. This is a fascinating promenade along the landscaped seafront, acquaintance with the Museum of Local History, a visit to the first in the south and the only one in Russia year-round golf resort with a championship 18-hole course "Gelendzhik Golf Resort", as well as acquaintance with "Chateau de Talu" - one of the most beautiful wineries of the Krasnodar region, which is located on the highest point of the Tolstoy Cape at an altitude of 100-160 metres above sea level.
